BLEGO was founded in 2014, where we competed as BrainSAP during the 2014 First LEGO League World Class Challenge. We were asked the question "How can we improve the way someone who lost their sight learns, with the help of LEGO?" Thus came the solution, as we call it BLEGO. BLEGO gives the visually impaired community a chance to experience building colour coordinated structures out of blocks.

Next was nationals. We competed at Sci-Bono in Johannesburg during December 2014. This was an exciting weekend for the team, as the blind children from Prinshof joined us. We won Most Innovative Solution.

After nationals, we decided that the visually impaired community can benefit from BLEGO.
We decided to patent our product. We would like to acknowledge and thank Theo Doubell from Bouwers Inc. for handling our patent. (www.bouwers.co.za)

BLEGO is patent as from July 2017.

We have a dream to let all visually impaired children have a chance to experience BLEGO.
